Founder & Director
Thomas has 16+ years’ experience in payroll, finance and HR systems. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Employment Innovations—Australia’s largest payroll bureau—leading large-scale payroll operations, system implementations, governance and compliance programs nationally.
Thomas has also held senior finance and operational roles across payroll services and HR tech environments, bringing depth in operational leadership and payroll transformation. At Payd Piper, he leads strategic direction, system architecture oversight and client governance frameworks.
Aaron Firkin
Senior Employment Software Consultant
Aaron brings extensive experience in payroll strategy, award interpretation and regulatory compliance, with a focus on system optimisation and keeping payroll environments aligned with evolving legislative requirements.
With more than 7 years’ experience in Employment Hero management, he ensures that payroll systems are configured for accuracy, compliance and best-practice outcomes. Aaron leads award configuration, legislative alignment and system integrity across client environments.
April Nowak
Senior Employment Software Consultant
April has 15+ years’ experience in payroll operations and client delivery, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, process excellence and client partnership.
April has extensive senior management experience working for major employment technology businesses such as Employment Hero, Definitiv (Access Group) and GoGlobal.
She leads operational precision, documentation discipline and reliable service execution, ensuring long-term success for client payroll environments. April oversees day-to-day payroll governance, service standards and quality assurance processes.
